With this year's Challenges mostly being the covid 19 which has led to the unprecedented lockdown in Kenya and the world which has led to increased cases of domestic violence. Thus this day is the day the girls and women push for the end on violence against women. With this year's theme being an Orange world to end Violence against women now, and the orange colour used to represent a brighter future free of violence against women and girls. This gender based violence must be prevented and it starts with adopting comprehensive and inclusive approaches to take the root cause, transform harmful and even social norms with aim to empower the women and girls to fight for their rights.
